Survival of the Fittest

The famous fashion designer Coco Chanel, co-inventor of the glamourous Little Black Dress (LBD), had said, "Fashion is not simply a matter of clothes. Fashion is in the air, born upon the wind. One intuits it. It is in the sky and on the road."

Anybody can get a classic look and an elegant style by observing keenly. Look at what others are wearing at the shopping mall, on the road or even on television. If you love the look, do not blindly follow it but adapt it as per your figure, age and style.

Yes, style, once you really master it, it becomes a lifestyle. Then, you no longer have to be a slave of any trend but you will be able to set trends or just be comfortable in whatever you wear.

That comfort level mostly comes with a certain age when you no longer feel pressurised to look good but you know exactly what suits you and you bypass fashion rules to create something unique. Perhaps that is why Chanel said, "Fashion has two purposes: comfort and love. Beauty comes when fashion succeeds."

Like most women, I also love to dress up. So here I will write on clothes and accessories and also give tips to all fashion-conscious women who want to look good in their own relaxed way.

In my first post I will showcase leopard prints which add a polished look to any day wear as well as a cocktail dress. Be it a dress, a shirt, a gown, a scarf, shoes or bags-- you can incorporate it into your dressing in whatever way you fancy and make your style statement.

You can wear these to a club, party as well as to a workplace, wear them on a date, wear with leggings, and even wear on a cruise-- but pair them with different uppers or lowers and accessorise them right to get the appropriate look for different occasions.

However, designer outfits cost the earth, so no need to break your bank; just borrow the ideas from these and do your own styling with much affordable clothing and have fun.
